How you can support our work

You can help us in many ways

Volunteer
Volunteers are vital to our work - we couldn't run our services for older people without their kindness and hard work - and we always need more volunteers.  Whatever your skills we can help you find the right project for you. Click here to go to our volunteering page for more details or contact Suzanne Johnstone, our Volunteer Co-ordinator,  on (0191) 477 3559.

Make a donation
Age Concern Gateshead is a registered charity and we rely heavily on donations and grants to be able to run our services.  Donations of any size are always welcome and, if you are a UK taxpayer, we can make your donation go even further using Gift Aid. Using Gift Aid means that, for every £1 you give, we can claim an extra 28p from HM Revenue & Customs. To add Gift Aid to your donation you will need to complete our Gift Aid form which you can obtain by clicking here. If you would like us to post you a copy of our Gift Aid form, please contact Sharon Robinson on 0191 4773559.

Leave a legacy
Leaving a legacy to Age Concern Gateshead in your Will is a wonderful way to help ensure that the work of the Charity can continue.  A legacy of any size will help us plan for the future and improve the quality of life of many older people.  Your solicitor can advise you on how you can include a legacy to Age Concern Gateshead when you make your Will.

If you don’t have a will you might want to take advantage of one of Age Concern Gateshead’s Will Writing Days where you can see a fully qualified solicitor and have a basic will drawn up for a minimum donation of £20. For more information contact Helen Williams at Age Concern Gateshead on 0191 4773559.

Buy
You could support us by asking us to quote for your insurance if you're over 50.  Or visit our shop on the High Street and make a purchase!  If you're having a clearout at home, we're always most grateful for items such as clothes, books, and bric-a-brac to sell in the shop.

Tell us your ideas and suggestions
Suggestions for ways in which we can improve our services, or for any new services you would like us to provide, are always welcome.

Please contact us if you think you can help in any way.
