Knitting needles at the ready!

Help Keep Older People Warm This Winter

Every year Age Concern asks keen knitters to get their needles at the ready to knit bobble hats for Innocent Smoothie bottles.

For every smoothie sold with a bobble hat, Age Concern receives 50p. Last year, thanks to our knitters across the country who created 230,000 hats, we raised a national total of £115,000 which was used to provide extra support to older people in winter. In Gateshead alone, we were able to send off 2000 hats, helping us raise around £1000.
